The main activity is the production and marketing of IBCs for the transport of dangerous chemical products, storage tanks and collection tanks for tanks and drums.
The technology used is rotational molding, the material is first choice polyethylene.
Our tanks are UN approved according to ADR and IMDG regulations by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
Clients are mainly made up of distributors of chemical products active throughout the national territory.
The company has obtained the ISO 9001:2015 (RINA) quality management system certification.
Quality Policy
Sunbasket's main activity is the production of:
- polyethylene tanks, approved according to ADR regulations for the transport of dangerous chemical products
- polyethylene storage tanks
- collection tanks
- materials handling products
The Management has adopted a quality management system compliant with the requirements prescribed by the UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 standard, in order to:
- comply with the requirements of Italian and international regulations
- continuously increase customer satisfaction
- satisfy the requirements of the quality management system and spread an RBT (risk based thinking) approach within the company
- continuously improve process management activities by increasing the effectiveness of the quality system adopted
- involve and empower staff
- intensify the collaborative relationship with its suppliers/collaborators and customers, involving them in sharing improvement objectives.
The company analyzed its context, stakeholders and the purpose of the quality system in order to pursue customer satisfaction and business development.
The management addresses the various problems with an RBT approach and is committed and aware of its role and to using the quality system for company growth.

UN APPROVED
Our tanks (IBC - intermediate bulk containers) are UN approved according to ADR and IMDG regulations.
The certification body issues an individual certificate for each IBC.
The certificate is valid for 5 years.
IBCs must undergo maintenance 30 months after commissioning
and then to a new suitability check by the certification body.
Our approved tanks are: vertical cubic type of 500 - 700 - 1000 - 1200 liters and horizontal type of 1900 - 2400 - 3000 litres.
Our IBCs have passed the tests with all standard liquids required by ADR 2011 (ADR 6.1.6) to demonstrate the chemical compatibility of polyethylene IBCs
IBCs are approved for transport
of chemical product classes 3 - 4.2 - 4.3 - 5.1 - 5.2 - 6.1 - 8 - 9, packing groups II and III.

The ADR requires that IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) for the transport of dangerous goods are UN-approved.
To be approved, the prototypes must pass some chemical and structural resistance tests.
All our IBCs have passed the vibration test required by the ADR.
The ADR requires that IBCs must be manufactured and tested according to a quality programme.
For each IBC an individual commissioning certificate is issued by the certifying body (RINA).
The certificate is valid for 5 years.

Sunbasket provides maintenance and repairs to the cage, tank and accessories.
RINA subjects the IBC to a new test and confirms the certificate for another 30 months.
After 5 years from the first commissioning, the certificate expires and the IBC can no longer be used for the transport of dangerous goods.

4.1.1.15 For plastic drums and jerrycans, rigid plastic IBCs or composite IBCs with an internal plastic container, unless derogations are granted by the competent authority, the duration of use permitted for the transport of dangerous goods is five years starting from date of manufacture, unless a shorter duration of use has been prescribed, taking into account the material to be transported.
